Danny DeVito will lend his vocal talents to the iconic title character of the Lorax, while Ed Helms will voice the enigmatic Once-ler. Also bringing their talents to the film are global superstars Zac Efron as Ted, the idealistic youth who searches for the Lorax, and Taylor Swift as Audrey, the girl of Ted’s dreams. Rob Riggle will play financial king O’Hare, and beloved actress Betty White will portray Ted’s wise Grammy Norma.

North Carolina native Shamara McCoy, aka ‘Mara The Hip-Hop Socialite,‘ wears many hats in the world of Entertainment Media and is beyond driven to make a big impact nationwide. 2012 is shaping up to be a very proactive year for Mara, as she goes into detail with us at Urbanbuzzmag.com “Where Key Players Speak!”
UBM: How did you initially get involved in the Entertainment Media industry?
Mara: Well before any of this, I earned a law degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. I always excelled in school, and law school was a natural progression for me after graduating from NC A&T State University because I’m an avid reader and writer. In my parents’ eyes, it was the next logical step, but I wasn’t exactly sure being an attorney was a good fit for me. Anyway, I’ve always been obsessed with celebrity news and gossip, but I never thought I could make a career out of it until I relocated to NYC. Here, the possibilities are endless! The year I spent practicing law right after I moved here confirmed the law field wasn’t for me. By then, I’d built up the nerve to do me and not be as concerned about everyone’s expectations of me. I got my foot in the door of the entertainment industry by working for music industry executive Theo Brown, who at the time was the National Director of Promotions at Interscope Records. I began writing about my experiences interacting with the artists who were signed to the label. It just kind of took off from there, particularly after I started my website, TheHipHopSocialite.com. If I could do it all over again, I would have jump-started this adventure I’m living years ago by majoring in journalism in college.

George Lucas has completed his task with bringing “Red Tails” on the big screen. After boldly admitting no one wanted to touch the project because the cast consisted of “Black Actors” not including “Denzel Washington or Will Smith” the support was low. However, after studying Tyler Perry’s methods. Lucas realized, you can make an all African American film and reap a financial reward. George put up his own money to make the story of Tuskegee Airmen come alive. The film “Red Tails” will be in theaters January 20th 2012. The Boondocks” Aaron McGruder known for his controversial material is on board contributing as one of the screenplay writers of “Red Tails.” Anthony Hemingway known for “Ali” and “Changing Lanes” on board as director.

Your story caught my full attention. I get excited when I hear a testimony about how the Lord our God can bring you through. Simply because if I don’t hear it, I believe He only loves me and doing for me (laughter). Let me share with the readers a brief description about you both. Larry Callahan and Steve Anderson worked a job to keep the bills paid while moonlighting as a “dream chaser.” While working at a local church the duo took their choir to ministries all across Detroit, sharing the love of Jesus Christ through praise. Amen. While working both lost their jobs on the same day.

BUYER BEWARE! I felt compelled to warn everyone about C&L Associates. According to their letter head Linda Arthur is the owner. Kenzi Edlow, co-owner, and William Armstrong, business manager. I was booked on a cruise by Linda Arthur and husband for 2010.
It was a birthday celebration cruise on Carnival Cruise lines. Linda Arthur’s husband passed away and while I am feeling sorry for Linda, I rode six hours round trip to Baltimore, Maryland. I brought a musician with me, sang at his funeral, out of the goodness of my heart. Linda said the cruise would still be on but now in memory of her husband. In the mean time, Carnival dry docked the ship and the date of the cruise was changed to Jan 2011.
