One on One with Kierra Sheard Celebrating The Live Album “Free”

I read that Kierra Sheard is the Clark family royal princess. I liked that. (Thank you) I have to tell you the truth Kierra. I saw you perform twice in New York. I was already to interview you, when you were at Central Park but you sung “Praise Him.”  I was so in the Holy Spirit when I came out you were gone. So, I thank the Lord for His faithfulness to see fit that you are able to share with Urbanbuzzmag.Com. It is our pleasure to celebrate with you on your new release “Free.” “Free” is your first live recording and it delivers. You are so anointed and it’s all over this project.

NBA LOCKOUT

Deal or; No Deal

The Urbanbuzzmag.com BuzzViewers are talking about the NBA LockOut.

NBA Commissioner David Stern appears to be the only one with the wisdom hat on during this lockout.  Owners are greedy and have been eating well off players for years. It is evident games missed is costing everyone a lot money. So far, November and now it looks like possibly December may be canceled. David Stern has said this not to be a punitive negotiation, where threats, ultimatums and artificial deadlines are made. Stern has been clear “We have to work together for the continued interest of this spectacular product. Therefore, let’s take the necessary steps to come to a place where our financial situation can continue to build buildings, fan base, pay team personal, owners and players. The game must go on. There is no way the season will be canceled.”

JeBron Bringing Back Good Music

In my tenure of doing interviews, I am always pleased when I come across such a well groomed artist. JeBron is that artist.  JeBron is fun, smart and most of all musical.  Representing Atlanta but originally from Chi-town his combination is soulful. JeBron is bringing back that good ole finger popping, singing along, grooving and dancing music. He is part of his entity JeBron Music, pumping out influences of Pop, Gospel, Funk, Alternative, R&B and most of all Soul.  JeBron is a prolific songwriter, producer, musician and singer. Despite what is going on in the music industry right now, JeBron has made a lane for himself.  He is currently promoting his album, “TIME OF MY LIFE: FULL CIRCLE.”  I have to admit I have “Celebrate Life” on rotation.  “Celebrate Life” is a timely song for me.  JeBron second single “Beautiful” has received a warm welcome from MTV, VH-1, BET’s 106 and Park to name a few.

BuzzViewers On Nicki Minaj on the American Music Awards 2011

“Pink Friday” debut album reached platinum.   Minaj is no industry sucker, Minaj has learned from the best of them the importance of ownership. Nicki Minaj retains and owns all of her 360 rights – including merchandising, sponsorships, endorsements, touring and publishing. “Super Bass”  was released from “Pink Friday” May 2011, the reception of the single was huge after the single charted within the top 10 in many of countries including; United Kingdom, United States, Australia, Hong Kong, Canada and more. Ellen showed just how influential Nicki Minaj is with little girls, not sure if they heard all the cussing on the album but okay.

Rapper Nicki Minaj had a big night, opening for the American Music Awards (AMA) with a collaborative performance with David Guetta electro beat.  Minaj received her first two AMA honors. Minaj included a thank you to Taylor Swift when she accepted her award for favorite rap/hip-hop artist. Nicki Minaj has been non-stop on the road of success. She has collaboration with a host of peers and recording artist in the industry. Minaj to be considered the opening act for the prestigious AMA says a lot about her musical direction. It is evident that Minaj has crossed over but the Urban Buzz Magazine BuzzViewers have a lot to say about Nicki Minaj. (buzzviewers comments are below)

Digital Music Wars

Digital Music Wars, Microsoft or Apple

In the world of technology, there is always room for another digital market expansion. Instead of people working together, the greed promotes who can do the digital market best, quick and easy and get paid. There are so many digital entities on internet. What are we up to now? 4G! 4G does not work in all locations. Go figure.  Amazon is set to release what they call a mid-priced “smartphone” for less than $200. The price will probably start at $199.  The “smartphone” will be smart enough to work and be compatible with Amazon’s digital movies, music and e-books. It will be release by the fourth quarter of 2012.  The new generation “smartphone” will have an 8-megapixel camera, a 4-inch touch screen and a radio. It will be designed for faster data uploading and downloading smart move Amazon. Remember when a penny had value.

Are You Smarter Than a 6th Grader, Mixtape

Well I must admit, I didn’t want to do this interview initially. I thought here we go, another young kid from the hood, wanna be rapper. I mean “Young Vishis.”  As I looked at him wondering, where are his parents or guardian? Why are they allowing him to be in this industry, Lord have mercy.  However, while I was sitting there, I heard this young man do an interview. I watched and listened closely to see if I would hear the “You know what I’m saying” sassy thug wanna be. To my surprise, I heard intelligent responses and a well spoken young man handling himself well. A rapper since six years old, Young Vishis caught my attention. Now you all know, the UrbanBuzzMag.Com is all about integrity and our slogan is “Where Key Players Speak!” Well, we have identified a young rapper by the name of “Young Vishis” 12 years old and a “Key Player” in the business.

Dr. Dre

Dr. Dre From Rap Producer to Business man.

One of the hardest concepts America has with rappers and hip-hop, is its flamboyance and bragging income. How does a project kid or a ghetto thug turn out to be a prominent businessman? The answer is simple, opportunity. There is so much flack about the hip-hop culture and what they do with their money.  Do they give to charity? Some do and others do not but the same holds true for corporate America. Of course there is not enough news about the giving of an artist, unless it benefits a major cause.  However there have been instances where a rapper or hip-hop artist has given to individuals in the hood.  Kudo’s to Steve Stoute for being recognized for his “Tanning of America.”   His accomplishments are the perfect example of when opportunity presents itself.
