For all the Cassandra Wilson fans this is a classic Cassandra Wilson album which you will simply enjoy. A sound of musical instruments and beautiful lyrics to follow. Genre defying vocalist Cassandra Wilson’s has just released her eighteenth album, Another Country.  Rich in sound, Wilson an instrumentalist  focusing largely on guitar-oriented sounds withRed Guitar” as the first single. Wilson joined ranks,  again collaborated with jazz guitarist/producer Fabrizio Sotti.  The album opens with a grooved, multi-hued salute to the six string, “Red Guitar,” which reflects Wilson’s love for her red Telecaster given to her by, Marvin Sewell a few years back.  “The colors in the lyrics just started to come out: blue water, white linen, black coffee, then ‘I play my song on red guitar.’”  The slow blues with finger-snapped rhythm, “No More Blues” is a “new beginnings” song where Wilson sings, “I’m starting over because I don’t want no more blues…No more tears, gonna dry my eyes.” Each song is full of meaning and sing a long lyrics to take you on a journey of being free.
