NEW FILM TIME MATTERS JUNE 23rd

Mikey Jay is a recording artist, music producer, actor, philanthropist and community activist and recently added film director and producer.  Last we spoke with Mikey Jay, he was working on an album. Recently, we found out Mikey Jay has been busy producing films. His most recent film project is titled Time Matters presented by Aigne Film Group.  There is no doubt there is room for great storytellers. Mike Jay is no stranger for telling stories. Grammy nominated Mike Jay is well verse in telling a good story musically and now he has transferred his talents to the big screen.  Time Matters, appears action pack with a good story line. On June 23rd you will be able to see for yourself.

I had the pleasure of speaking with her about women in hip-hop and how she continues to keep a float in a male dominating industry.

Country Artist Jimmy Wayne Receives National Foster Care Award

The National Council For Adoption (NCFA) was proud to present the 2019 Warren and Mary Alice Babineaux Award to recording artist Jimmy Wayne in recognition of his continued commitment to creating positive change in the lives of children in foster care who need permanent families. Foster Care is very dear to me personally. I am very honored to share his great news. Congratulations from Urban Buzz Magazine. The Babineaux Award was presented following Jimmy’s 223rd Opry performance on May 3rd. This performance marks the continuation of a two-decade country career whose highlights include seven Top 40 hits, the Number One smash Do You Believe Me Now, with sold-out shows at venues like Madison Square Garden.

Wu-Tang Clan Mics and Men

Wu-Tang Clan four-part documentary, Mics and Men will air on May 10th at 9pm on Showtime television.  The legendary Staten Island Hip-Hop clan is celebrating its 25th anniversary of their debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).  I had the pleasure of sitting in on a discussion about their documentary Mics and Men directed by Sacha Jenkins. The evening filled with moments of remembrance of late beloved Ol Dirty, fond memories of their humble beginnings and some of their greatest achievements. In attendance was RZA, GZA, Inspectah Deck and Cappadonna.  My first time in marketing and promotions, was working with my friend Reg-Reg and guess who was one of our clients. Just a little Key Player trivia. Anyway it was fun to reconnect and see how far we all have come.

Celebrating 36 Years of Community Service

Sesame Flyers International Inc. the largest contracted Caribbean American Organization in Brooklyn, NY.  Sesame Flyers International earned its name from founder Joseph Charles, who enjoyed his childhood playing on the streets of Trinidad and Tobago nicknamed Sesame Street.  His wish, to create a legacy between his hometown and his new home in New York.  Therefore, he launched Sesame Flyers International representing his travels flying back and forth.  Today, that legacy continues serving a variety of year around community programs for youth, adults and families. I spoke with Mr. Curtis Nelson Executive Director of Sesame Flyers International Inc. about various program services, maintaining community/corporate giving and Celebrating 36 years with a fundraiser approaching us on June 8th 2019.
