New Single Bounce Back!

Michon C. Young is a proud native of Gary, Indiana.  She has resided in Michigan for several years and considers Detroit, MI her second hometown.  A gifted psalmist, songwriter, and producer.  Michon has been singing and writing since the age of 12.  She started her professional musical career by being hand selected by Pastor Marvin L. Winans to sing background on his debut concert in Detroit, Michigan for the release of his 1st solo CD, Alone but Not Alone.  She has traveled extensively singing background for Pastor Winans and was honored to sing a duet with him at the Grand Opening of Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. Michon is celebrating the release of her new album titled, Love Is My Lane.  The featured single, Bounce Back, is available on all digital platforms.  Bounce Back connects with listeners of all ages.  I believe it is an in-time song of encouragement.

A Tribute To Ella Fitzgerald

Congratulations are in order to Gordon Goodwin and Patti Austin for their tribute album to the late great Ella Fitzgerald titled For Ella 2.  The album is up for three Grammy nominations at this year’s 66th Grammy presentation. Gordon Goodwin is a multi-Grammy and Emmy winning Composer/Arranger, Jazz veteran. He is best known for his legendary compositions, diversity and stage presence.  At the age of thirteen, Gordon Goodwin was introduced to the Count Basie Jazz Band by his teacher, the late Robin Synder.  Jazz music became his core listening pleasure.  He combines practice, and education to create his sound.  His influences are a combination of Mozart to Earth Wind & Fire. Gordon has the ability to remain authentic in his craft, always willing to expand and explore how far he can paint his colors in sound.  Teaming up with a pioneer Grammy Award-winning voice of R&B, pop and Jazz, Patti Austin, makes For Ella 2 a stellar project.  The album is a combination of a musical mind and a powerful voice with range.  Join us as Gordon Goodwin shares his excitement working with his friend Patti Austin and the Big Phat Band.

Wu-Tang’s 36 Chambers Discussion

Torae and Bonsu Thompson of Hard 2 Earn Podcast continue to give insightful thoughts, commendations and personal opinions on relevant music, but this particular discussion held at the ‘legendary’ Billie Holiday Theater based in Brooklyn dated November 27, 2023, has a place in hip hop history, this discussion was based on the 30th. album release of The Wu-Tang’s 36 Chambers.  On deck for a personal discussion around the group dynamic and relationships amongst the Clan was Matty C. the legendary music executive producer and former hip hop journalist.  Matty C was open and honest as he described each member’s personality and noted they were so hard core that most hip-hop heads appreciated something new for the culture and each member demanded respect and each member was treated individually and personally based on their temperament and disposition.  Jokingly Matty confirmed everything the audience heard about Russell Tyrone Jones aka “ODB”-Old Dirty Bastard, Dirt McGirt, Ason, Old Dirty and the name list goes on, but all is true and listening to any Wu-Tang album still gives him ‘goosebumps’.  According to Matty C, the Wu-Tang lead member and founder,  Robert Fitzgerald Diggs, aka ‘The RZA’ was given much respect for forming his own group without a record label. RZA was free to do as he pleased with the group, and this allotted creative freedom and RZA demanded respect.

Soulful Songstress and Songwriter

Meet H’Atina (pronounced Ah-Teena), a soulful vocal singer-songwriter, who has emerged as the most promising new voice of R&B.  H’atina’s raw innate talent is her true musical journey that explores love, heartbreak and self-discovery.  Despite being a singer, she had a background as a dancer from an early age.  She attended the prestigious Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, studying a blend of vocal genres, including rhythm & blues, pop, funk, neo-soul, jazz, Latin jazz, adult contemporary, and musical theater.  H’atina is an exceptional performer both onstage and off.  Throughout her career, she has shared the stage with renowned artists such as 5th Dimension, Jon B, Take 6, The Manhattan Transfer, Keiko Matsui, and Ruben Studdard, among others.  H’atina’s stage presence makes her a crowd-pleasing performer.  H’atina independently released her new single Precious now available.  Precious is quickly becoming a fan favorite.

Jesus Is Real

Gospel recording artist Stanley Ray Jr, has gained international exposure through his music. Stanley Ray’s gospel music ministry includes several releases; I Am A New Creature, Mercy & Grace, I Want to Be Like Jesus, All Power In His Hand, and You Lord.  Through his music ministry, Stanley shares the Good News of God’s readiness to heal and mend broken hearts and souls.  His mission is to provide a message, offering a new life in Christ.  He recently remastered his single, How Many Y’all Know, Jesus Is Real.  He remixed the song to remind people that there is hope in Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith as believers.  Stanley Ray Jr. has overcome some difficult situations throughout his life.  He openingly shares his testimony in our interview.  The song How Many Y’all Know, Jesus Is Real, is his testimony.  Once you hear his testimony, there will be no doubt that you may realize Jesus is real.  After triumphing in several musical projects, gospel music is his passion. Stanley is notably known for his praiseworthy performances, leaving joy behind.

THEO FORSETT A TRIPPLE THREAT

At the age of six, Theo Forsett knew rhythm and blues was his calling.  Like most of the greats, he began singing in the church choir.  Branching out of a musical family, and being the youngest of six, singing became natural to him.  Theo Forsett left his hometown, Bartow, Florida, and headed for Los Angeles, to further his career.  He performed at local clubs and wherever he could.  He received approval from renowned artists and producers. While in the process of making a name for himself as a solo R&B singer, Theo was asked to sing background vocals for Diana Ross, and Eddie Murphy’s How Could It Be album, produced by Stevie Wonder.  Theo Forsett has recently returned with his new album Love At Your Fingertips.  His singles, Love At Your Fingertips and More Than Enough, are quickly gaining momentum among R&B listeners. He remains persistent in his career in music and the arts.

Unfulfillment Into Purpose

Isaiah Roberts is an artist from One House Music camp.  Premiering his single Last Time.  Last time is featured on their Eyes Up EP compilation.  His single is being received with positive reactions.  Isaiah Roberts is a singer-writer and newly recorded artist.  He understands how to use his experience through song and maintain his confidence and faith.  Last Time is a personal heartfelt testimony.  Filled with harmonious melodies and honest lyrics.  He teamed up with award-winning producer Brunes Charles to write this song.  The song will resonate with many listeners.  It’s a song of self-forgiveness and repentance.  Most of us had a coming to God moment when enough was enough.  Whenever we are facing life’s challenges, there is always a go to song.  I believe Last Time will make your playlist of encouraging songs to get through a storm.

Larry E. Rogers Jr. is a musician,  prolific songwriter, producer, vocal coach and an award winning recording artist.  Larry E Rogers Jr. has released his debut single Mighty Good, available now on all streaming platforms. The song Mighty Good is Larry’s first solo project as a gospel recording artist.  After producing for others, he heard the call to produce his own project.   Larry has worked with the who’s who in gospel music as a producer and songwriter.   Mighty Good features  B.B.JAY, Lowell Pye, Kaleb Carroll, and Mr. Yeahboyy.  It’s a contemporary Christian song, upbeat and uplifting.  It is Larry’s desire to produce music to remind listeners of God’s goodness.  At a young age, Larry E. Rogers Jr. was the music director of the late Douglas Miller.  Under Miller, Larry developed his writing and producing talents. During our interview, Larry does not hold back on the trials he has to endure while answering his call. Hear how he overcame losing his house and recording studio.  If his testimony does not encourage you, I don’t know what will.
