New EP Fearless (Fear-Less)

Samar Newsome is a soulful vocalist, fusion keyboardist, and diverse producer.  Studying formally at Westminster Choir College and growing up with local recording artists and church musicians in the city of Newark, NJ. Samar was guided musically under diverse tutelage.  He served as the music director at Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn, NY, where he has worked closely with gospel recording artists like Bebe Winans, Israel Houghton and Darwin Hobbs.  Samar is currently working on his new EP, Fearless, featuring his debut single I Feel Good, which is quickly moving up the radio charts. Many of us have been reeling in our uncertain economy, with uncertainty if the vaccine protects against the new strain COVID threats. We should all feel grateful that we are still here to give thanks.  Samar Newsome has worked with a wide variety of artists.  I Feel Good was created to remind us not to falter in our faith.  A friendly reminder of how blessed we truly are as believers.

Celebrating An Independent Lens

Many in entertainment learn it is not that easy to get a multi-million dollar deal. Quiet as it’s kept, it’s when you believe in yourself to pursue, money may come.  MoReese Madu, is a producer, author and screenwriter who trusted in himself. He launched a blog in college, self-help books, a novel, and developed his screenwriting skills.  During his journey, his success increased, along with his network.  With limited resources, MoReese kept a steady chain of promoting and selling his books.  His success has given him leverage to create his own lane.  Today, content creators are able to express themselves like never before.  Building brands outside industry norms.  MoReese Madu, places a special emphasis on diversity.  However, his primary goal is uplifting his community as a conscious Black man.  Through good networking and staying on the course of his dream, MoReese did not allow a closed door to stop him.   In this day and age, there is no room to be marginalized.  As a storyteller, MoReese Madu uses his personal and unforgettable experiences when developing his projects.  His new feature film titled Differences will debut on Tubi TV on September 1st.  Get your popcorn ready and make sure you save the date.

The Blairs are a dynamic gospel duo, who independently and collectively write, sing and produce their own music. Pastor Darrell and Lady LaToyja Blair are anointed ministers of the gospel who are devoted to God, their marriage and children.  As renowned vocalists and lyricists, The Blairs have shared the stage with countless well-known gospel recording artists and legends.  Branching off from the legendary Kirk Franklin and The Family, as lead vocalist, on the Whatcha’ Lookin 4 platinum album.  The Blairs have moved on to promote their own unique sound. Releasing their own independent project titled Make Me Careful. Currently, working on an EP, they have re-released Make Me Careful as a duet. The debut single is climbing the gospel charts and has become a fan favorite.

Terrell T-Rex Simon, Stellar, nominated and Steeple Award Winner for Best New Artist, of Troy NY.  Beloved as T-Rex, known as Rhythm & Gospel (R&G) music artist.  Singing since the age of six.  He discovered his gift and it developed more while singing for the church choir.  T-Rex decided to focus on having a music career and eventually moved to New York in 2003.  His talent led him to an opportunity to sing background vocals for platinum-selling singer-songwriter/producer Lyfe Jennings.  Being on the road with recording artist Lyfe Jennings, T-Rex learned how to navigate through the music industry.  Once he got his feet wet, in 2015, T-Rex pursued his solo career.  He teamed up with producers Lamar Casey and Burnie Stevenson, who helped executive produce and co-wrote his debut E.P. Together.  This infused his natural church boy upbringing with his love of Hip-Hop, promoting his signature sound R&G T-Rex’s voice has landed him on stages with artists like John Legend, Beyonce, Anthony Hamilton, Musiq SoulChild, Mario and Wyclef Jean.  Launching his solo career with hits like Let It Rain (2017), Mistakes (2018), and The Source (2019).  Helped him to realize he had what it took to take the front stage. T-Rex opened up for artists like Avant, Bobby V, KeKe Wyatt and Faith Evans to name a few.

The Hand of A Ready Artist

Meet Craig L. Jones, CEO and Founder of JC Art. He is a self-taught graphite artist.  He specializes in commemorative and portrait drawing.  Craig Jones, currently resides in Richmond, VA. His artwork has been exhibited throughout the Richmond area.  Recently his work was exhibited during Black History Month and Juneteenth celebration.  Craig Jones uses his artwork to inspire others.  His drawings are available for viewing throughout his social media.  Make sure you connect with him.  When Craig feels or imagines images, he is able to convey them on paper.  His uncle and family encouraged him to pursue drawing from a young age of six.  His portraits of celebrities and art series are quickly gaining attention. Craig’s inspirations come from his heart and faith.  He shared with me that an image came to his mind and he began to draw and it ended up being a perfect replication of the ark of the covenant of the bible.  He knew then that the Lord was directing his hands.  Craig Jones is new in the market of sharing his art, but he is dilligent with displaying his creative expression throughout his city and online.

Sonya McGuire is a singer, songwriter, producer and born to a singing family.  She is a multi-gifted international recording artist, currently working on her new project Chambers of My HeartSonya McGuire has released her single available now titled Stronger.  She has shared the stage with a host of gospel grammy, dove and stellar award winning recording artists.   Sonya’s ministry is to draw many to Christ.  From worship to revival, her voice is evidence she is in her calling.  Audiences cannot help but raise their hands in praise, when she picks up the microphone.  The curation of  Chambers of My Heart is a journey of beautiful songs orchestrated to encourage each heart that listens. There is a song for everyone to enjoy.  Including her previous single, Joy Remix.  Sonya’s gift is being able to hear what the Lord has given her to sing.  Our reward is hearing her sing it.  All of her songs are inspiring and uplifting.

Walking By Faith

Loraine Trammell is a mental health advocate, motivational speaker and has been nominated as one of Atlanta’s Hottest Author’s.   Her book Walking in Faith During A Storm was born out of her own painful battle with depression. The book shares her bout with being depressed, oppressed and in a mess.  Loraine wrote the book to encourage readers to be uplifted when they feel like life is getting away from them.  Loraine‘s favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.  She is native of Atlanta, GA, an active member of her church and community.  Loraine Trammell visits nursing homes, homeless shelters, and hospitals spreading faith and encouragement.  She also sits on the board of planning council for the Jerusalem Oasis Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting the mentally-challenged.  We salute her for her dedication and efforts in making a difference.  Loraine embodies a spirit of integrity, honesty and loyalty.  It is truly evident that her faith is rooted and grounded in the Word of God

There is Stil Good R&B In The Land

Indira Milini Khan known as I. Khan is an American singer, songwriter, and actress.  The sultry young singer comes from a musical family; her mother is the legendary Pop/Soul icon Chaka Khan.  From the ages of fourteen to seventeen, she was the founding member of the Motown Records group Pretty in PinkI. Khan was responsible for co-writing the majority of the group’s material. After her stint with Pretty in Pink, she went on to record with various R&B recording artists; Miki Howard, Johnny Gill, and Shabba RanksI. Khan has also appeared in projects with artists Yvette Michelle, Paula Abdul and has also been featured on several Chaka Khan records as well.  I. Khan has transitioned into a solo music career that kicked off with a great start musically.  Having worked on collaborations with producer Kannon Caviar Cross, they have put in the work and pumped out hit singles consistently.  Songs like I Cry At Night (feat. Dana Dane), Love Ship, Sea of Love, In Your Feelings and her latest single How Things Changed is evidence I. Khan is confident and passionate about her music career.  Each single showcases her vocal ability and personal style.

From A Cafe To The Country

DJ Arie Spins, a New Orleans native from a city known for its music, has a musical prodigy in their midst. Dj Arie Spins is an all-around music enthusiast, setting the tone for a city known for Jazz, Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday, music festivals and brass band parades.  She has maintained a residency in a local cafe which landed her on stages and in spaces spinning for party crowds and Corporate CEO’s.  Having always been inspired by the rich music scene in New Orleans, Dj Arie Spins has been able to bring an eclectic sound to her listeners.  Her repertoire in all genres of music has her booked and busy.  Please do not mistake her fiery mix and pretty face for being a dj only.  Dj Arie Spins is well versed in music, classically trained, and an educator.  She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Orleans.  Dj Arie naturally gravitated to music.  I guess you could say it’s her calling.   Her gifts include being a vocalist and pianist.  When she is not spinning, she teaches high school students how to connect their passion for music into a business.
