R. Kelly has produced over a decade of hits and remixes and his latest 2 CD set Chocolate Factory have earned certified platinum plus status. He has written and produced songs for many artists, Mary J. Blige, Toni Braxton, Celine Dion, and many more. He is also known for his theatrical video's featuring Mr. Biggs. However, there is one video that has made him not so popular. We went to our Buzzviewers, fans and industry professionals and asked how they felt about the whole R. Kelly ordeal.

1: I feel people
forget that celebrities are human too. They are not superheros or untouchable
to life's errors. I have been a fan of R. Kelly from day one and his music
is good. He is very talented, I'm not attempting to justify what he did
but when the president of the United States is doing it, what can you
say? I can only hope R. Kelly gets himself together. Meanwhile Chocolate
Factory is just another hot R. Kelly album.
buzzviewer 2:
Right now R. Kelly, Neptunes, Dr. Dre and Jay-Z are the hottest thing
out. If there is a monopoly in urban music right now, R. Kelly has a piece.
There are only a few good albums out and Chocolate Factory is one of them.
With this album he took the spotlight off his personal life and reminded
us that we like him for his music.
buzzviewer 3: As
a DJ I have to give the people what they want. The situation with the
girl has not stopped both male and females from coming to the booth requesting
R. Kelly. If he is guilty then he needs to get whatever the penalty. Then
he can make a hit record about his girl reminding him of his soap.
buzzviewer 4: I
don't know how I feel about R. Kelly's situation. It affects me because
I have a daughter and I wouldn't want her in that situation. I would have
to trust that I did what I could as a parent to prevent her from acting
out like that. No one is focused on the girl's parents but for every cause
there is an effect. Should he take responsibility as an adult? Look at
what is going on in the world today, which is being run by adults. This
is just an example of immorality. Today's music represents risky lyrics
promoting sex, drugs and violence.
buzzviewer 5:
As a male artist in the business I have to say it is crazy out here. There
was a television show about groupies and celebrities. That stuff is for
real. You have to grounded to be in this business and not get taken to
jail on all levels. R. Kelly is just another statistic of what can happen
to you in this business. Other than that, his latest album is getting
rotation in the jeep and crib.
How do you feel about this subject? What do you think about music, an artist, who do you think is hot?
