Dance is an art form of movement techniques performed for an audience. Dance is mastered for social and cultural significance. Some dancers are better than others, often seen demonstrated in clubs, the streets and professionally on stage. The gestural movements can be signified for battle such as break dancing and krumping or performed for an audience such as ballet and ballroom. There are many forms of dance jazz, rhythms, African and many choreographed styles of emotional expressions. From ceremonies to celebrations everybody understands the language of dance.
Professional dance companies presented by theater, have graced us with fascinating performances, leaving us wondering how do they do that? With spell bounding choreography and sculptured bodies dance is very much appreciated throughout most cultures. One thing is for sure, when you know someone who can dance well, there is something in boasting about them or getting them involved in a challenge. Especially, in the urban arena.

I had the pleasure of speaking to one of the members Demetrius Banks who informed me of a sophomore project, King of Glory which was recorded live and soon to be released this year 2012. Currently, Higher Calling has grown into a 45-voice, powerhouse gospel choir known for their skillful vocals, energetic performances, trendsetting style and overall excellence in ministry. The best way to describe Higher Calling is encouraging, pure worship with no embellishment. Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling have a gospel standard and that is worship.

I love Black Music and I pray that artist will continue to preserve our music. I just wanted to look back at how great Black Music is and its value. I will start from the 70’s era and just share my experience of the music business. Think Like A Man, a comedy film based on comedian Steve Harvey’s best-selling book “Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man.” Cast features, Kevin Hart and Taraji P. Henson, co-starring Michael Ealy, Jerry Farrara, Regina Hall, Gabrielle Union, Chris Brown, Steve Harvey and Romany Malco, We also look forward to seeing Morris Chestnut, Jennifer Lewis and Kelly Rowland on deck. Think Like A Man follows a group of men and women who aren’t having any luck finding lasting relationships. The film brings beauty, glamor and chemistry when the characters take on the advice of “Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man.”
The Urbanbuzzmag.com are Romantic Comedy gurus. There has not been a Black Romantic Comedy we have not enjoyed. Firstly, it is always great to see the black beautiful up on the big screen. Kudo’s to Gabrielle Union for being in multiple films this year and nominated for a best supporting actress Oscar in 2009 Taraji P. Henson for keeping it moving with t.v and film. A romantic comedy is not funny unless Jennifer Lewis is in there somewhere. In these days and times it is good to see a film that suggest a woman is in pursuit of a man and vice a versa. We count this movie, a movie to watch and enjoy.
