Champion Is Released

There is nothing like celebrating faith in the Lord Jesus than singing a high praise or inspirational song that just shifts you into a place of peace and joy.  Robert Hawkins and Christian Hip Hop recording artist Bryan Carter, aka Saint, released a new single titled Champion.  An anthem song is needed for all of us who are still standing in the full armor of God.  Trusting and believing that purpose is a journey and at times a fight.  Robert Hawkins is a multi-award-winning singer and songwriter.  He has experienced life at the high moments of greatness with honor and has lived through low and turbulent pits of anguish. Saint launched his career in 2012 and his recent single Hold Me Together landed on Billboard’s Gospel Chart.  Saint is no stranger to despair, and he is able to add his lyrics of encouragement to the track. Robert Hawkins and Saint united their remarkable talents to create an uplifting anthem. Champion resonates with themes of empowerment and victory. The synergy between these two artists can be heard loud and clear and both agree it’s a divine appointment.  Their unique blend of powerful lyrics will touch the hearts of many listeners.  The bible encourages us to praise and rejoice no matter what is going on.  It is written: Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. As believers, we understand, In Christ Jesus, no matter how evil these days may become. We know we are champions.

Big Bang Theory

Hip hop duo Leadgeon & Will Sully present Big Bang Theory another collaborative banger single.  In high school, DJ and producer Leadgeon was introduced to Hip Hop music.  Leadgeon grew up listening to Run-D.M.C., L L Cool J, and EPMD. He was signed to a record label but it didn’t go well for him at that time.  This was the spark he needed to become a self-producer, writer, recording artist and businessman of his own entity.   Using what he learned from his label experience, Leadgeon launched 16 Bars to Life.  This succeeded a catalog of albums produced, written and performed by Leadgeon. Proving his authenticity as a recording artist.  Discovering the overall artist development process, it pushed him into his producer hat as well.  This established him as an artist and producer.  Being recognized as both some of his tracks include cosigns from various artists requesting his talent and skills.  Without question not being signed to a label turned out for his good.  Reigning from Queens NY, where Hip Hops blueprints like LL Cool J, Nas and Tribe Called Quest resided.  Let it be known that Leadgeon is standing on business and music.  Creating standout tracks like Vanna White, Red Light, Lethal Medicine and Streets Keep Calling.  The new single Big Bang Theory does not disappoint, featuring Will Sully.

Don’t Let The Devil Ride

Strait Street Music Group and The Leonard Lothlen Project present a new single featuring Leonard Lothlen on vocals titled Don’t Let The Devil Ride.  The lyrics warn people to seek good over evil, choose right over wrong, and exercise kindness before malice.  Don’t Let The Devil Ride challenges us to resist the temptations of sin and deadly forces that continue to plague our world.  I know this is not a popular conversation or song.  However, it should be every Christian’s anthem in these end times.  There is only one who will try to hinder your success in life, steal your joy and distract you from claiming your victory.  Yep! You guessed it, the Devil.  Now I know magazines won’t share this good news, that you can be free to live your best life without practicing sin, but we are a staff of Christian believers.  Therefore, we are excited when we hear a song like this.

McClendon entered the gospel music scene in 2002 with her debut album, My Diary, Your Life.  I was introduced to McClendon’s music from her second album, Soul Music, with hits like, Hey Now, Breathe, and The Truth Is. (my absolute favorite) Her voice and vibe had me bumping that song in my car daily.  She is an anointed voice of Florida.  She grew up a preacher’s kid.  So, no matter how funky, groovy or jazzy her sound is, her lyrical roots are faith-based.  Lisa McClendon’s scriptural messages, with personal transparency, have created a next generation of loyal gospel music listeners.  Which has earned her a few Dove and Stellar nominations.  As she reprises her music career with a new EP.  She released the first single titled Perfect, now available for purchase.  Her reception was well received.  She is back on the road performing, and it’s nothing but love and positive energy.
