Kentrell Ragin is a native of Bridgeport, Connecticut, his musical journey began at just three years old, playing piano by ear with no formal training. That early gift grew into a multifaceted artistry, singing, songwriting, arranging, and producing, that has positioned him as one of gospel music’s most compelling independent voices. Over the years, he has toured nationally, shared the stage with gospel greats, and cultivated a sound that resonates deeply with worshippers around the world. Kentrell Ragin steps boldly into a new season with the release of his latest album The Sound, a project that elevates his signature blend of passionate worship, soulful melodies, and musical excellence. Known for his powerful vocal delivery and Spirit led worship with a Billboard charting anthem like Nobody Else (Be Lifted), a global worship declaration that expanded his international reach, particularly across Africa. His transparent storytelling also shines through in songs like Wish Momma Was Home, a heartfelt tribute to his late mother that has comforted listeners navigating grief and healing. Now, with the release of his new album, Ragin delivers his most powerful work yet. The Sound features his dynamic new anthem Testify, a bold expression of faith, hope, and unwavering praise.
