A Legacy of Stage, Strength, and Sisterhood

With a career spanning more than four decades, Brenda Braxton has become a celebrated force in the world of theater and beyond. A Tony Award–nominated actress, Braxton has graced Broadway and Off-Broadway stages across the globe, earning accolades for her dynamic performances and unwavering dedication to the craft.  Her talents extend far beyond the spotlight. Braxton is the author of The Little Black Book of Backstage Etiquette, a guide that reflects her commitment to the theater community.  But her influence doesn’t stop at the stage door.  As a visionary entrepreneur, Brenda Braxton has launched several impactful ventures. She founded the nonprofit organization Leading Ladies Just for Teens (LLJFT), which empowers young women through mentorship and education. In Harlem, she established BBRAXTON: Exceptional Grooming for Exceptional Men, a boutique that redefined luxury grooming for men of distinction. Her latest endeavor, however, is perhaps her most personal and transformative for all women.  PAUSE by BBRAXTON is a wellness movement dedicated to women over forty navigating the journey of menopause.  Through curated subscription gift boxes, intimate community spaces, and candid conversations, PAUSE by BBRAXTON offers support, education, and empowerment during menopause often shrouded in silence due to shame and embarrassment.

Brenda Braxton made her Broadway debut in the acclaimed musical Guys & Dolls, but it was her electrifying performance in the musical revue Smokey Joe’s Café that catapulted her into theatrical stardom.  There was no turning back, cementing her status as a powerhouse of stage. Her Broadway résumé reads like a masterclass in musical theater, with standout roles in Jelly’s Last Jam alongside Gregory Hines and Savion Glover, Cats, Legs Diamond, the original production of Dreamgirls with Jennifer Holliday and recently Chicago with R&B sensation Usher. On screen, Braxton has brought her charisma to television appearing on Nurse Jackie, and most recently, The Good Fight, where she starred opposite Christine Baranski and Audra McDonald as the sharp-witted Partner Madeline Gilford.

Her new stage of life dealing with menopause influenced The PAUSE Gift Box.  A thoughtful collection of products designed to bring comfort and care to women experiencing menopausal symptoms. From soothing teas to self-care essentials, each item is selected to encourage rest, reflection, and renewal. The VIP Box introduces women to premium wellness products and invites them into a growing community of like-minded individuals committed to self-care.  Braxton is using her social media platform, sharing her story, with invited guests sharing how the box is helpful.  PAUSE By BBRAXTON, is designed to build community with women eager for connection, comfort and clarity about the change. In a world where menopause is still taboo for many, she is helping to rewrite the narrative and dispelling myths, fostering dialogue, and celebrating the power of PAUSE.  In our interview you are going to hear Brenda Braxton share her journey with us and where you just might see PAUSE during your travel.  Welcome our new KeyPlayer Brenda Braxton.
