The Hand of A Ready Artist

Meet Craig L. Jones, CEO and Founder of JC Art. He is a self-taught graphite artist.  He specializes in commemorative and portrait drawing.  Craig Jones, currently resides in Richmond, VA. His artwork has been exhibited throughout the Richmond area.  Recently his work was exhibited during Black History Month and Juneteenth celebration.  Craig Jones uses his artwork to inspire others.  His drawings are available for viewing throughout his social media.  Make sure you connect with him.  When Craig feels or imagines images, he is able to convey them on paper.  His uncle and family encouraged him to pursue drawing from a young age of six.  His portraits of celebrities and art series are quickly gaining attention. Craig’s inspirations come from his heart and faith.  He shared with me that an image came to his mind and he began to draw and it ended up being a perfect replication of the ark of the covenant of the bible.  He knew then that the Lord was directing his hands.  Craig Jones is new in the market of sharing his art, but he is dilligent with displaying his creative expression throughout his city and online.

Sonya McGuire is a singer, songwriter, producer and born to a singing family.  She is a multi-gifted international recording artist, currently working on her new project Chambers of My HeartSonya McGuire has released her single available now titled Stronger.  She has shared the stage with a host of gospel grammy, dove and stellar award winning recording artists.   Sonya’s ministry is to draw many to Christ.  From worship to revival, her voice is evidence she is in her calling.  Audiences cannot help but raise their hands in praise, when she picks up the microphone.  The curation of  Chambers of My Heart is a journey of beautiful songs orchestrated to encourage each heart that listens. There is a song for everyone to enjoy.  Including her previous single, Joy Remix.  Sonya’s gift is being able to hear what the Lord has given her to sing.  Our reward is hearing her sing it.  All of her songs are inspiring and uplifting.

Walking By Faith

Loraine Trammell is a mental health advocate, motivational speaker and has been nominated as one of Atlanta’s Hottest Author’s.   Her book Walking in Faith During A Storm was born out of her own painful battle with depression. The book shares her bout with being depressed, oppressed and in a mess.  Loraine wrote the book to encourage readers to be uplifted when they feel like life is getting away from them.  Loraine‘s favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.  She is native of Atlanta, GA, an active member of her church and community.  Loraine Trammell visits nursing homes, homeless shelters, and hospitals spreading faith and encouragement.  She also sits on the board of planning council for the Jerusalem Oasis Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting the mentally-challenged.  We salute her for her dedication and efforts in making a difference.  Loraine embodies a spirit of integrity, honesty and loyalty.  It is truly evident that her faith is rooted and grounded in the Word of God

There is Stil Good R&B In The Land

Indira Milini Khan known as I. Khan is an American singer, songwriter, and actress.  The sultry young singer comes from a musical family; her mother is the legendary Pop/Soul icon Chaka Khan.  From the ages of fourteen to seventeen, she was the founding member of the Motown Records group Pretty in PinkI. Khan was responsible for co-writing the majority of the group’s material. After her stint with Pretty in Pink, she went on to record with various R&B recording artists; Miki Howard, Johnny Gill, and Shabba RanksI. Khan has also appeared in projects with artists Yvette Michelle, Paula Abdul and has also been featured on several Chaka Khan records as well.  I. Khan has transitioned into a solo music career that kicked off with a great start musically.  Having worked on collaborations with producer Kannon Caviar Cross, they have put in the work and pumped out hit singles consistently.  Songs like I Cry At Night (feat. Dana Dane), Love Ship, Sea of Love, In Your Feelings and her latest single How Things Changed is evidence I. Khan is confident and passionate about her music career.  Each single showcases her vocal ability and personal style.

DJ Arie Spins, a New Orleans native from a city known for its music, has a musical prodigy in their midst. Dj Arie Spins is an all-around music enthusiast, setting the tone for a city known for Jazz, Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday, music festivals and brass band parades.  She has maintained a residency in a local cafe which landed her on stages and in spaces spinning for party crowds and Corporate CEO’s.  Having always been inspired by the rich music scene in New Orleans, Dj Arie Spins has been able to bring an eclectic sound to her listeners.  Her repertoire in all genres of music has her booked and busy.  Please do not mistake her fiery mix and pretty face for being a dj only.  Dj Arie Spins is well versed in music, classically trained, and an educator.  She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Orleans.  Dj Arie naturally gravitated to music.  I guess you could say it’s her calling.   Her gifts include being a vocalist and pianist.  When she is not spinning, she teaches high school students how to connect their passion for music into a business.

Roderick Harper, a jazz and R&B recording artist. He has recorded live with a cast of friends and mentors, including appearances from late piano legend Ellis Marsalis, sax icon Donald Harrison, and vocalist/drummer Jamison Ross.  His previous project, Evolving, is both a homecoming and a blank slate for Harper, a return to Jazz and a start from scratch. The songs span the full breadth of his remarkable journey and extraordinary talents.  This made a clear path for his current project 2702 2702 is a no-holds-barred project. Each song is a press forward with a newfound resolve of sound and spirit. Harper’s vocal delivery is vibrant and his sound is a distinctive course through a collection of maturity and growth.  2702 is a personal project.  Roderick Harper shows off his talents for sure. You will hear his expressions, through his songwriting, and voice.  Although the music culture has changed, Harper’s dedication has brought him to this point of success in his career.  Producing this project is a perfect example of Roderick Harper’s innovative mind.  It’s his breaking free and making music his way.  2702 is Harper’s sixth release after a hiatus and he has made up for lost time.  He reaches deep inside to find his signature sound and I promise you, you are going to enjoy it.

Joann Rosario, internationally known worship leader, singer, songwriter, and Gospel Artist, was first introduced to Gospel audiences with her debut CD, More, More, More.  She has traveled the world on tour and recorded with fellow Gospel music recording artists such as Fred Hammond & Radical For Christ, Pastor Marvin Sapp, Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Yolanda Adams, Commissioned & others.  Joann Rosario, was recognized as one of the top Latin Christian recording artists at the time of her debut release.  After leaving the stage for family, she served as the national music director for Maranatha World Revival Ministries. Exploring more of her gifts and talents, Joann Rosario authored Father, Here I Am, a 40-day devotional for women.  Joann has responded to the call of God to establish and Pastor Maranatha Life Church in Douglasville, GA.  Her ministry is marked by powerful worship, simple but profound teaching of Biblical principles, and the manifestation of healing and deliverance by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Many of us are still spinning from the effects of COVID.  The covid crisis continues to plague our nation and finances.  Pastor Joann Rosario has lined up a conference to empower women titled Total Woman.  The conference will be held at her church, Maranatha Life Church, during her birthday weekend from June 1st to 4th 2023.

Keoni Coleman is a self-taught singer and musician.  He graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration and Character Design.  During his time at university, his work was exhibited at the SCAD University Showcase, as well as at Plant Zero Gallery in Richmond,VirginiaKeoni Coleman has performed at various entertainment venues and open mics throughout the DMV area, including: The Civil, Tuesday Verses Live, and the Diamond RVA.   His performances are receiving rave reviews for his versatility and sound.  Keoni’s illustrated music covers include recording artists such as: Maya Eliza, Kenaije, and LavvaKeoni is quickly becoming a sought after illustrator.  He has his eyes set on the gaming industry, hoping to land a character or two.  In the process of his illustration work, Keoni realized that music was around him and in everything he was doing.  He realized he had to pursue this love.  He decided to fully pursue his music career in 2022.  So Keoni began working at developing his craft.  Since then, he has had the opportunity to work with International Recording Artist Freedom Imani, whose work includes BET’s American Soul, Google Duo Commercial and Patti LaBelle.   Currently, Keoni Coleman can be found around the DMV performing his new single What We Be.

Trey Haley is an entertainment Executive, Director, Producer and President and Partner at Tri Destined Studios, where he is responsible for the implementation of all productions within the company.  He is also tasked with developing diverse venture collaborations and strategic alliances based on shared vision, values and goals.  A passionate filmmaker with a diverse breadth and sensibility, Trey has directed and produced a variety of genres. His latest TV projects include the hit crime drama Carl Weber’s The Family Business, where he serves as the Director for the show and Co-Executive Producer.  A fan-favorite, its ensemble cast includes Ernie Hudson, Valarie Pettiford, Darrin DeWitt Henson, Tami Roman, Javicia Leslie and Emilio Rivera, to name a few.  In its fourth season on BET Plus, the show is consistently a top streaming show on BET for which Trey received a 2022 HAPAward for Best Director of a Television Series. International recording artist Freedom Imani, a singer, songwriter, vocal coach, and music arranger who started his journey singing at the age of 12. Freedom Imani’s newest project is very dear and near to his heart. Currently, he is performing and providing audiences with a sneak preview of one of his singles in memory of his mother.  The title of the song, You Don’t Own My LifeFreedom is no stranger to singing and releasing hits.  He released his live and unplugged jazz single entitled Breeve live in 2017 and later that year recorded It Feels Good with producer/composer Stuart Hart and Sonic Culture Studios for the new Google Duo commercial It Feels Good undoubtedly became Stuart Hart’s new single featuring Freedom Imani on Apple Music. With the same company producer, two years later, Freedom recorded Don’t Ever Let Me Go and Dance Floor, which were featured on Season 1 of B.E.T.’s AMERICAN SOULFreedom is an artist. A young man from Baltimore who reminds us to be our authentic self on stage and off stage.  Be consistent and let your greatness shine.
