Celebrating 36 Years of Community Service
Sesame Flyers International Inc. the largest contracted Caribbean American Organization in Brooklyn, NY. Sesame Flyers International earned its name from founder Joseph Charles, who enjoyed his childhood playing on the streets of Trinidad and Tobago nicknamed Sesame Street. His wish, to create a legacy between his hometown and his new home in New York. Therefore, he launched Sesame Flyers International representing his travels flying back and forth. Today, that legacy continues serving a variety of year around community programs for youth, adults and families. I spoke with Mr. Curtis Nelson Executive Director of Sesame Flyers International Inc. about various program services, maintaining community/corporate giving and Celebrating 36 years with a fundraiser approaching us on June 8th 2019.
Sesame Flyers International’s contributions to its community dates back to 1984. In my interview with Curtis Nelson. He informed me that former youth, now adults have returned to give back and others as hired staff. What a credit to such a long-standing organization. However, so much have changed and we must make sure their community efforts are not in vain. Currently Curtis Nelson and Board of Directors at Sesame Flyers International are working on providing 500 summer youth paying jobs. In a climate which consistently challenges the well-being of our youth, I have one question. Will you help? You can by visiting their site www.sesameflyers.org. Welcome our KeyPlayer Curtis Nelson who can better explain the great programs they offer such as GED, Foster Care Prevention, Arts & Entertainment, Educational Programs and Work Programs. Also you can plan to attend their fundraiser June 8th 2019. Remember LOVE A KID EVERYDAY!
