Bishop Marvin Sapp is a multi-platinum selling artist who has enjoyed a decorated music career, receiving 13 Grammy nominations, 24 Stellar Awards, 2 Soul Train Music Awards, 2 BET Awards, 4 Dove Awards, 8 BMI Songwriter’s Award for sales, Black Music Honors Gospel Music Icon Award along with many other accolades and honors from national, regional, and local institutions.  Bishop Marvin Sapp is a passionate orator and biblical teacher, who desires to be a living epistle glorifying our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ both in word and in deed. Many say his voice is instantly recognizable with a characteristically raspy ringing with power and authority as he masterfully illustrates with excellence the Word of God and his Music Ministry.  Marvin Sapp spoke with me about his new live recording project, which was held at Valley Kingdom Ministries on May 31st. The live recording is expected to be released in early fall.  His new project Then and Now is his 16th album.  Then and Now is a follow-up to his previous album Substance, both albums produced on his own label, Elev8 Entertainment & Media LLC.

While there are many stories yet told about many of our African-American legends, we are glad to add Malcolm X.  There is no other experience and transformation known to us like the one of Malcolm X.  His vision, passion and love for his community was epic.
