Love Is Loud

John and Sequoya Howard are a husband and wife Urban Christian duo residing in Atlanta, GA.  The 2x Award Winning duo have released their single Close To You.  Close To You, was birthed from a place of gratefulness. The lyrics are a prayer desiring to be closer to God and aware of His presence. The couple’s goal is to create music that expresses their love for God and introduce Him to listeners around the world. John is a producer and Sequoya is a writer and vocalist.  Together they are creating great Christian music.  They are using their creative gifts in music, fashion and collaborations to represent diversity in Christianity.  Which I absolutely enjoy.  As Sequoya mentioned in our interview, you cannot put our great God in a box. New Gospel Music

New music from Bishop Charles R. Lyles and The New John Howard Gospel Caravan. Their new single Free is a song that will speak to those who walking around with masks and those who are feeling isolated during this pandemic. Free is an anthem of hope.  Reminding listeners things may look uncertain but Jesus is still King of kings and Lord of lords. Being free is a mindset, not a location.  While we troop through this pandemic let’s be reminded that trouble don’t last always. Even in the midst of it all you can be free.  It has been a year since Covid19 changed our way of living.  Many could not imagine, a pandemic would shut down our society.  The song Free comes from a personal experience, which is a reminder that we are victorious in Christ. The song Free is a song we need today.  We can be free from circumstances, dilemmas and tribulations.

Friendship Is A Choice

The Bible says A man that hath friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.  In this wonderful film Our Friend, about love, life and friendship, humanity is found.  In our world of so much unrest, family is still the cornerstone for strength. On January 21st, I attended a Q&A hosted by Branden Harvey with Casey Affleck and Matthew Teague.  In the interview below are the questions he posed.  One of the questions asked; We’re living in a pandemic and many have experienced loss this year.  Why is Our Friend the type of film we should all watch? If I had to answer, surely I would have reflected on the necessary need for all of us to stay connected and to love each other. The times and days are evil, just watch the news.  Our Friend is a film about a caring man who puts his own life on hold to help out his friends, a couple facing a devastating crisis.  Like that old rap song said, Friends, how many of us have them? Ones we can depend on, Friends. By Whodini.
