Andrea McClurkin-Mellini New Cd Higher

Andrea McClurkin-Mellini currently released her solo CD debut titled Higher, which demonstrates the gift of music which God has deposited in her. Yes! the name is familiar. Andrea McClurkin-Mellini is the sister of Pastor Donnie McClurkin. However, God has pushed her out of the background and into the forefront. She is no stranger to music.  Andrea McClurkin-Mellini wrote the award-winning title song, We Praise You from their family Cd titled, The McClurkin Project.  So, it evident that little sister who is married and answering the call to sing can sing. When you listen to Higher you can rest assure Andrea Mellini can hold her own.

I had a wonderful opportunity of speaking with Andrea Mellini at her Cd release party. She is warm, transparent and focused. This is what she had to say about her new solo project venture.

Nancey Jackson Johnson is celebrating her new release titled The Heart of Nancey Jackson Johnson. I had the awesome opportunity to celebrate with Nancey at her Cd release party in New York. It was a packed out crowd chanting We Love You Nancey.  Nancey Johnson is an anointed and appointed gospel testimonial vocalist. There is no question she is in her calling to minister to souls who need to hear about the goodness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Each song on the Cd is filled with praise, glory and honor due our Lord. My personal favorite is I Am Not Defeated. It’s a declaration of God’s Promises. The Heart of Nancey Jackson Johnson Cd contain other great favorites like Call On The Name and Garment of Praise.

In addition to her music career she is moving towards being more visible, by appearing as the newest diva, to participate in season 2 of the reality series, R&B Divas LA.  Leela James will be in the company of another newbie Chrisette Michele, returning cast members Chanté Moore, Lil’ Mo, Michel’le, and Claudette Ortiz.  The show will follow Leela James as she gears up to launch her forthcoming album. In addition to giving never-seen-before access to her personal life. I can say this Leela James is about her music so, look forward to some great ear candy.

It has been over a decade plus since the passing of Mr. Miles Davis but his music and status continues.  Miles Davis musical talents continue to inspire and captivate listeners into his world of Jazz. Besides musical talents.  Miles Davis maintained an art book which was honored and is available titled Miles Davis: The Collected Artwork. Miles Davis landmark album Kind of Blue is still the best-selling jazz record of all time. Davis is known as one of the greatest jazz trumpeter with a host of accolades, from Statue in Kielce, Poland to New York his memory and sound remains.  Miles Davis legacy will be honored on his birthday May 26th 2014 this Memorial Day with a Block Party Unveiling of Miles Davis Way. The Block Party will be 12pm to 2pm Free and Open to the Public.  It was at this location, Miles Davis created the music for albums Kind of Blue and Bitches Brew.

Mr. Ajaye’ Brewington is one of New York’s own champions. He has conquered the concrete jungle in the areas of fashion, film and fitness.  A very tough feat for those bold enough to admit it. Thirteen years and still going strong with new projects on the rise. His latest project schedule to be release in March is titled HOME: The Film. HOME: The Film is a winner of fourteen International Film Festival Awards.  Nominee for NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Direction. Ajaye’ Brewington is exceptionally delighted that the film is finally being made available on DVD. Ajaye’ Brewington says it was a great opportunity to work with such a great cast and Gbenga Akinnagbe is great in Jono Oliver’s debut. Ajaye’ Brewington is not knew to the entertainment industry and continues to reinvent himself to remain relevant in a transitional career set. He jokes about it by stating One minute you are hot and the next minute people are like what happen to him.  Ajaye’ Brewington took time out of his busy schedule to let us know the truth about being consistent and paid, in a field where  so many give up trying. Mr. Devon Baker is an amazing testimony of when the Lord calls you answer. Even when you don’t want to. After singing background for a host of well known gospel recording artists, a career opening pushed him into a solo male gospel recording artist category. Now unaccompanied by a stage of many, Devon Baker has made his way center stage.  Devon Baker’s commanding tenor is his gift from God and his gift has now made room for him. He has received many accolades from his cohorts in the gospel community such as Bishop Paul Morton, Israel Houghton and Darwin Hobbs. Also, he played a major role in gospel recording artist and songwriter Ted Winn’s music ministry. Sometimes people can get comfortable just being in a place where they are supposed to be temporary. Devon Baker had to learn in spite of his comfort, to whom much is given much more is required.
